Sharon is located south of Boston and is bordered by Norwood, Walpole, Foxborough, Stoughton and Canton. Sharon had a remarkable history where the townspeople had made cannonballs and cannons for General George Washington’s Continental Army at its local foundry.
Today, Sharon is an great place to live and plant roots. The town offers many beautiful nature trails due to the high percentage of conservation land located within the town’s bordered.
Sharon is also regarded for its excellent public school system with three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school which are all known for their outstanding academic performance. Sharon High School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon Schools award by the U.S. Department of Education in 2011 and was only one of two schools in the state to receive the award. In fact, the exceptional school system was one of the many reasons why Time Magazine’s best place to live in 2013.
Sharon is also easily accessed via the Providence/Stoughton line which has service to Boston and Providence.
